EMERGENCY CHILD CARE
The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) has established an emergency child care system for frontline and other essential workers who require child care during the COVID-19 state of emergency.
- Emergency drop-in care is available for eligible families who have no back-up options for care from family, friends, or others.
- Priority access is given to frontline workers, including health care and public safety professionals, to the emergency drop-in programs.
- The Commonwealth is temporarily funding the operation of these programs; you will not need to pay to enroll your children.
In addition, through a partnership with EEC, Care.com is offering a free 90-day membership for Massachusetts frontline workers to connect directly with early educators who work in child care programs that are currently closed. Click for more information.
